1. What are microbial fertilizers?
Microbial fertilizers are based on the use of live microorganisms—such as bacteria, microbes, fungi, and actinomycetes. When introduced into the soil, these beneficial organisms actively interact with the root zone. They improve plant nutrition by unlocking nutrients, stimulate root system development, enhance nutrient absorption, and strengthen plant immunity by activating natural defense mechanisms. In addition, microbial fertilizers help restore and revitalize the soil by improving its structure, increasing biological activity, and enriching it with organic matter.

2. How are microbial fertilizers different from organic fertilizers?
Microbial fertilizers contain living microorganisms that directly support plant nutrition.
Organic fertilizers, on the other hand, consist of organic materials that must be decomposed by soil microbes to release nutrients.
The key difference is this: microbial fertilizers contain the microbes themselves, while organic fertilizers do not. As a result, organic fertilizers need to be applied regularly, as they break down over time. Microbial fertilizers, by contrast, have a longer-lasting effect due to the self-replicating nature of beneficial bacteria in the soil.

3. How should microbial fertilizers be applied?
Because microbial fertilizers contain live organisms, they must be applied under appropriate conditions to preserve their viability. It’s also important to follow recommended storage temperatures and pay attention to shelf life.

Application rates are minimal — typically ranging from 0.1 to 1 liter per hectare or per ton of seeds, depending on the product.

4. Can microbial fertilizers be mixed with other organic fertilizers?
Yes, in most cases, microbial fertilizers can be mixed with other organic fertilizers.
However, it's essential to follow the manufacturer's recommendations for both products, as certain combinations may reduce the effectiveness of one or both.

5. In which countries are AGRITECH BIOFERT microbial fertilizers used?
Our products are supplied to agricultural regions throughout Russia, as well as to the following countries:
Bulgaria, Moldova, the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (Transnistria), Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Namibia.
